How’re you holding up?

There’s no doubt that the lockdown is for everyone’s safety but, like most other people, we’ve been dreaming of moving around freely, even getting stuck in traffic (traffic! Remember what that feels like?). 😔

We really do hope things get better soon.

While we wait, we’re not actually waiting. Other than the usual business of making sure Kuda always works for you, we’ve also been growing considerably. We’ll tell you about that in 5, 4, 3, 2…

Question, what could possibly happen when you have two popular ex-Big Brother housemates rooting for you online?

Over the past week we ran #BreakFreeWithKuda, our biggest giveaway ever with the Mercy 🛡 and the Tacha 🔱 (or vice versa, depending on who you ask), and pretty much broke a corner of the internet.

Now, before you say we didn’t give you anything, #BreakFreeWithKuda was strictly for people who joined Kuda on or after April 17. The point was to get your bank some more awareness, and that happened.

There’ll be (more) giveaways for Kuda ‘old-timers’ in the near future, so if you’re not following us on Twitter and Instagram, um, now is the best time.

Rumour Has It (Wrong) 🤫

Speaking of social media, some very, very wrong information has been circulating on Twitter that we pay people 3,000 naira when they open a Kuda account. 🤦🏾‍♀️

We really want to laugh, but this thing is serious — innocent people are being fooled.

We’ll state it again clearly for those in the back (and we beg you to help us spread this fact):

We have never paid 3,000 naira for sign-ups and we don’t plan to.

What we do is pay you 200 naira for every valid referral you make.

The process for getting paid is simple:

1. You share your referral code.
2. Someone uses your code to open a Kuda account, confirms their BVN (Bank Verification Number) and adds at least 100 naira to their new Kuda account. This is a valid referral.
3. We pay you 200 naira within a week.

There’s no cap on how many referrals you can get paid for. If they’re valid, we’ll pay you. That’s it.

Please, ignore any information different from this. Thank you.
